This is my final project I did for class with a friend of mine from class. This was a fun project to do overall, but rotoscoping came back to me. I didn't mind it as much as I usually would but it was definitely worth the 4hrs it took to make the fireball look decent. The story is a joint decision on how we wanted to do it. Ramon came up with the storyboard and directed the short film. I acted and edited some of the special effects. The scene when I threw up is actually made out of NesTea and crumb cake. We knew that usually effects won't look as good and I was excited to do it. We had a lot of trouble with the other actor but, Ramon and I are still trying to convert him into being a video major. (It's working so far) The project was fun and wasn't as challenging as we thought it was, but it did take us about more than 10hrs to finish.

More Projects!!!
These Projects were fun to do and some were a little frustrating. The light saber one was cool at first but, when the time kept going it got frustrating. There was a lot of zooming in and out and movement. (I hate rotoscoping!) The car crash scene was cool to do. The puppet tool was interesting because of how you can place the actors and move their body. Using a green screen also helped out to make it easier. The motion tracking picture was also frustrating because it wasn't working out for me at first. Once I got the understanding of a it (A couple of days later) it wasn't so bad. It's still not something I would like to do all the time. The stunt throw was alright. There was nothing I thought special of it. It is good experience because there will be a time where an editor is going to have to do this type of thing. The Morphing was really fun! I know it deals with some type of rotoscoping but, it wasn't that annoying. I think it's because I enjoyed this one more or I was having a great day. It was a cool experience and it's something I would like to continue to do. The forest running I thought was cool to make a 2D plane look sort of 3D. All you gotta do is cheat! (But I'm sure everyone knows that.) If not then you see the hands cut off and the person behind the green screen.

My World: Four Videos Gotcha!, Can I Borrow Some Cash?, TMNT...
These are some videos that I've came up with. It was fun doing them but, it does have it's faults. First off, I'd like to say my least favorite is the green screen one for TMNT II. I thought it would be a little easier then expected but, I pulled out my hair the most with this one. Masking some images and adding photoshop to certain scenes made it hard for me because a lot of scenes didn't match. Also too, I'd rather do something else but hey it's practice work.
I like the other three because it was something that caught my attention the most and I also like to create story. although getting the back of the ghosts jacket is tricky, I still enjoyed the project and learned something new.

Fun stuff
Creating special effects is cool. Although I try to aim for just a story but, adding some special effects doesn't always mean inserting fireballs or rotoscoping something. You can mess around with the colors and go more detail with frames instead of seconds for better editing. It's cool working with this stuff and can do fun stuff with some of the templates that needs to be added like blood squirts and smoke, but it's also fun to create your own stuff.
Difficulties
Some of the videos that will be posted up is the steps easing my way into special effects. Some difficulties I had is with some green screen effects because they sometimes don't agree with what is filmed. I have to add something to the subject or I have to add something else so the background is stays the same. Sometimes the lighting doesn't match but then again, in the industry you have to deal with what is given to you as an editor so it'll be good practice.
Learning new things with After Effects everyday.
Something new I learn while taking this class. Some things are very frustrating but, I'll make it through and I'm glad I get my point across.
